We absolutely love Action Karate! My son has been attending classes here, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. From day one, the sense of community has been so welcoming and supportive—it truly feels like a big family.

Not only has he learned so much in terms of martial arts skills, but the lessons have carried over beautifully at home, too. We’ve seen a wonderful shift in his focus, respect, and confidence outside of class. The instructors are fantastic, engaging, and genuinely care about every student's growth. I cannot recommend this place enough to any family looking for a positive, enriching environment for their child!

Our 7 year old son started his Karate journey about 6 months ago. Today we see a very different child. More confident, more self-aware, much more self-disciplined.... and he loves Karate. As parents, we've also been invited to participate in our child's journey, which is amazing. The lines of communication are always open and the instructors are known to check-in with both the students and parents on a regular basis. This is something that wasn't offered when our older son was participating in a different Karate school, so we are really appreciating this experience. If you're looking into Karate for your child, you've come to the right place!

Action Karate has been an amazing experience for my daughter. Since starting, we have seen a huge boost in her confidence, focus, and overall self-esteem. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly invested in each child’s growth, both on and off the mat.
The positive environment makes learning fun while also teaching important values like respect, discipline, and perseverance. My daughter was very reluctant and shy in the beginning, but every instructor took the time to make sure she felt comfortable, supported, and confident at her own pace. Now she looks forward to every class and feels so proud of what she’s accomplishing, which has been incredibly rewarding to watch as a parent.
We are so grateful to be part of such a supportive and motivating community and highly recommend Action Karate to any family looking to help their child grow stronger, inside and out. 💛🥋

I can't say enough about Action Karate Horsham! Our 9yr old grandson started karate about 3 months ago and has learned so much! The instructors at Action Karate are amazing! They take time to talk to and work with each student. They are so patient and kind to all of the kids and yet they have a way of conveying respect and focus to the children. This has helped our grandson with paying attention and concentration. They give the kids goals to achieve which gives them confidence. They talk to the whole group, each week, about perseverance, commitment, values and respect! Karate is so much more than just learning self-defense, it's learning how to be an independent, confident and respectful individual.Thank you Mr.M, Ms. Sara and the whole team at Action Karate!

My two daughters have been attending Action Karate Horsham since July 2024, and the experience has been fantastic. They absolutely love going to class.

My older daughter’s self-esteem has improved drastically, and we’ve seen huge growth in the way she manages her emotions. The instructors are patient, positive, and truly invested in the kids’ development beyond just martial arts.

For my younger daughter, starting karate as she entered her preschool years has been a great way to build discipline and focus. She’s learning structure while still having fun, and the progress has been amazing to watch.

Action Karate Horsham has had such a positive impact on both of my girls. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a supportive, encouraging environment that helps kids grow both mentally and physically.

Our Story

How Action Karate Became Part of the Horsham Community

Action Karate Horsham opened in 2024 with a clear mission: to create a martial arts community that reflects the spirit of this town: welcoming, engaged, and dedicated to helping people grow. In our short time here, we’ve already built something we’re proud of.

Raising over $1,000 for Philabundance through our Thanksgiving Turkey Burn and donating $500+ to Special Olympics for Autism Awareness Month. Community investment isn’t a one-off for us. It’s part of who we are.
Through partnerships with Right At School Camps, Kiddie Academy, Lightbridge Academy, and more, we bring martial arts into the spaces where families already are.
From Ninja Sharks at age 3 through advanced kids’ classes and beyond, there’s always a path forward at Action Karate Horsham, no matter what stage your child is at.
Working alongside our partners at the ABA Center in Horsham and Scouts of America groups, we ensure our classes are genuinely accessible and meaningful for every student we serve.

After seeing how much of a positive impact martial arts has made on my life and confidence, I knew this was something I wanted to do for other people just like me. As someone with ADHD, I know first hand how it feels to struggle with focus and self discipline. Martial arts helped to transform me into the well rounded adult I am today.

FAQ

FAQs Got Questions? We've Got Answers. Here are the things Horsham families ask us most.

At Action Karate Horsham, we teach Tang Soo Do — a Korean martial art that develops discipline, coordination, and practical self-defence alongside the character skills that carry into school and home. Horsham is one of the newer locations in the network, opened in 2024, and it's built around a broad range of class offerings from the start: dedicated classes for 3-4 year olds, a special needs programme, and advanced kids classes, alongside the standard curriculum. Community events are central to how this school operates — it's a genuinely embedded part of the Horsham neighbourhood.
We run classes across the week for families from Horsham, Hatboro, and the surrounding areas. Use the form on this page to get the current schedule.
Just come comfortable. For your first session at Action Karate Horsham, loose clothing you can move in is all you need. Your uniform (gi) is included in the $49 intro offer. Bare feet on the mat, no shoes required.
Horsham runs programmes from age 3 through to adults, including a dedicated special needs class. We serve families from Blair Mill Elementary, Upper Moreland Primary and Intermediate Schools, Hallowell Elementary, Hatboro Horsham High School, Crooked Billet Elementary, and Simmons Elementary. Partners include Kiddie Academy, Scouts of America, Lightbridge Academy, Right At School Camps, KinderCare, and more. Coming up: National Night Out (August), Horsham Day (June), Easter Egg Hunt, Horsham Car Show, and Action Karate Night at the Phillies. The school has also raised over $1,000 for Philabundance and $500+ for Special Olympics — causes the local community cares about.
