Brodie Cole

About me

Sensei Brodie Cole has spent 14 years shaping young lives on the mat at Action Karate Quakertown, and his passion for the craft has only grown stronger with time. A Fourth Degree Black Belt and decorated national competitor, Brodie came up through baseball before martial arts became his calling and once he started teaching, he never looked back. Whether he’s working with a three-year-old finding their footing for the first time or coaching a competitor toward a first-place finish, he brings the same steady belief: every student has something great inside them, and his job is to help bring it out.

Teaching philosophy

Sensei Brodie’s approach starts with a simple truth: no two students are the same. Some kids need to hear an instruction once and they’re off. Others need a visual demonstration, a hands-on adjustment, or a quieter one-on-one moment before something clicks. Rather than teach to the room, Sensei Brodie teaches to the person by reading how each student responds and adjusting in real time so no one gets left behind. That philosophy carries special weight with his youngest students. Sensei Brodie was among the first instructors certified to teach Action Karate’s Ninja Sharks program, and his commitment to that age group is rooted in something he genuinely believes: the habits a child builds at three and four years old, the ability to focus, to listen, to try again after a stumble, lay the foundation for everything that follows. He uses a blend of visual cues, audio prompts, and team-based and individual instruction to make sure every shark in the class is moving, growing, and having a great time doing it. His motto says it best: progress doesn’t happen in a day but it does happen every day, and he makes sure each student feels that forward motion every single time they step on the mat.
