Casey Heimbach has spent nearly her entire life on the mat as she began training at Action Karate at just six years old and never looked back. With 24 years in martial arts and 16 years of teaching experience, she brings a depth of knowledge that goes far beyond technique. Casey holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt and has a natural gift for connecting with the youngest students, guiding tiny Ninja Sharks through their very first kicks while planting seeds of confidence, focus, and discipline that grow with them for years. For Casey, this isn’t just a career. Instead, it’s the continuation of a journey that shaped who she is.

Casey believes that a great instructor doesn’t just teach martial arts. They teach students how to believe in themselves. Her approach starts with simplicity: clear demonstrations, patient repetition, and the flexibility to adjust in the moment based on how each student is absorbing the material. If a combination needs to be broken into smaller pieces, she slows it down. If a stance needs a small tweak to help a child feel successful, she makes it. Casey has seen first-hand what happens when a student, even one who once struggled to stay on the mat or speak to an instructor, is met with consistency and genuine care.
She watched a two-year-old who couldn’t tolerate noise or follow simple directions become a child who raises her hand eagerly and shouts her moves with pride. She guided Chaz, an adult student on the spectrum, through three full years of training, partly on Zoom during the pandemic all the way to his black belt test, which he traveled two hours to complete in person and passed with flying colors.
