About me
Liam found his footing on the mat at just two years old. After stepping away at nine to explore football, soccer, and parkour, he returned to karate at fifteen with a clearer sense of purpose and never looked back. Now a 1st Degree Black Belt with 11 years of martial arts experience, Liam brings four years of hands-on teaching to Action Karate Lebanon. What drives him is simple: watching a child grow in confidence, one class at a time. He believes every student deserves an instructor who meets them exactly where they are.
Teaching philosophy
Liam’s approach starts with one belief: technique matters, but identity matters more. He wants every student to walk away from class not just knowing how to execute a move, but understanding why it works and discovering the version of it that feels most natural to them. He uses a three-part teaching method: visual, verbal, and hands-on, so that no student gets left behind because of how they learn.
For a child who struggles with verbal instructions, he’ll demonstrate the technique and physically guide them through it, step by step. Liam is especially drawn to teaching 7–12 year olds because they bring just the right mix of focus and curiosity: old enough to absorb real challenges, young enough to still be shaped by the right mentor. He takes that responsibility seriously. His motto is “Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today” and it extends straight into the dojo. Every class is a chance for progress, and Liam doesn’t let a single one go to waste.
