More Than Kicks: Programs That Build the Whole Child

At Action Karate Quakertown, every class is designed around what your child actually needs at their age and stage, not a one-size-fits-all routine. Whether your little one is three years old and burning with energy, or your teen is looking for something meaningful to commit to, there’s a place on our mat for them.

Adult Martial Arts Classes

Real fitness. Real self-defense. Real results. Our adult classes give you a full-body workout wrapped in practical skills and a community that keeps you coming back. No experience required, just show up ready to move.

Kids Martial Arts Classes

For ages 5 and up, our kids’ program builds the skills that matter beyond the mat: respect, self-control, focus, and the kind of confidence that shows up at dinner, in school hallways, and on the sports field.

Ninja Sharks Ages 3 to 6 Classes

Tiny ninjas, big energy, and structured fun. Our Ninja Sharks classes are built for kids ages 3 to 6, an age where attention spans are short but curiosity is endless. Through movement, games, and age-appropriate challenges, we help toddlers and preschoolers develop coordination, listening skills, and a love of learning they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond.

Special Needs Martial Arts Classes

Every child deserves to feel capable, seen, and celebrated. Our instructors are trained to meet each student where they are, using one-on-one attention, physical modifications, and as much repetition as a student needs to truly own each skill. We’ve seen non-verbal students achieve breakthroughs. We’ve watched students with low muscle tone land kicks no one expected. We don’t set ceilings here.

Birthday Parties

Make your child’s next birthday unforgettable. A karate party at Action Karate Quakertown means games, moves, and a celebration your kid will talk about for months. Perfect for boys and girls, no martial arts experience needed.

Why Action Karate

The After-School Activity That Changes Everything Else

Families in Quakertown have a lot of choices when it comes to after-school activities. Here’s why parents keep choosing us and why their kids keep asking to come back.

Instructors who actually know your child

With a maximum of 30 students per class and a teaching team that's been here for years, your child isn't a face in the crowd. Sensei Brodie Cole has 14 years at Action Karate and still lights up when a Ninja Shark nails a new skill. Instructor Sara Beebe has watched non-verbal students make breakthroughs three years in the making. These aren't substitute teachers. They're mentors who stay.

A program built around how kids actually learn

Not every child learns the same way, and our instructors know it. Some kids need visual cues. Some need extra repetition. Some need a quiet one-on-one moment before they're ready to shine in front of the class. We adapt, always, because helping your child succeed is the whole point.

Character development you'll notice at home

Parents regularly tell us they see the difference within weeks: more eye contact, better manners at the table, homework done before screens, a "yes ma'am" that came out of nowhere. That's not a coincidence. Respect, discipline, and focus are baked into every class, every belt test, and every conversation on our mat.

Our Space

A Clean, Focused Space Where Real Training Happens

My son came to Action Karate after being bullied at school and feeling helpless. As a family we decided he should join karate classes to learn how to defend himself. It has been several years since then and was the best choice we could have made. He learned that karate isn't about looking for a fight; it is about building the inner strength, discipline, and bravery to protect yourself and walk away peacefully. He will be testing for his black belt this month which is the ultimate sign that dedication, hard work and never giving up on yourself will truly allow you to achieve your goals.

This place is the best! My son is athletic but not in the traditional sense, he does not enjoy team sports but we are so thankful he found karate! He loves every second of it. There is no arguing with him about going to class. It’s because the staff at Action Quakertown makes it so fun! Sensei Brody is absolutely amazing with the kids. It’s a balance of ‘I’m in charge but I’m also here to support and make class as fun as possible.’ Excited to see what the future brings at the studio.

I can’t say enough great things about Action Karate Quakertown! From very young kids, teenagers, those with special needs, and adults of all ages and skill levels, there is a class for everyone! My son participates in the Sparring program, and his confidence and reaction time has greatly improved since working with Mr. Brodie. Mr. Brodie’s enthusiasm is infectious! The kids really respond to his instruction, humor, skill and experience. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. If you want your child, and especially your teenagers, to learn respect, confidence and discipline while having fun and getting much needed exercise, check them out today! It’s truly like a warm, supportive family here. I give my highest recommendation!

I am very thankful that I chose Action Karate Quakertown for my Martial Arts training! I walked in the door so unsure of what I would learn. I knew I wanted to learn martial arts and I am learning so much! The team is the best, the instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive of all the students, I have been so impressed by all the compassion they all have towards all the students from the small children to the adults.
I recommend Action Karate to anyone who is thinking about a home to train in martial arts.
This journey has taught me so much about the martial arts and myself!
Walking through the doors was a first step that has opened so much in my life!!
I would sign up again!

My son has been going here for about a year now and he's come so far! They focus a lot on motivation, dedication and confidence. They make the classes fun and enjoyable for the children. We had gone to other karate places before action karate and none of the other places engaged the children in class as much as this place. It was a night and day difference, and I will always have a million good things to say about Sensei Brodie! All of the class helpers are amazing too. This place goes above and beyond to focus on what each child needs and helps motivate them. They have been wonderful and I will always recommend Action Karate Quakertown to everyone!!

Our family has had an amazing experience at Action Karate Quakertown. Our daughter Adriana started first, and before long both my wife and I joined as well. The atmosphere is welcoming, positive, and truly family-oriented. The instructors are supportive, encouraging, and great with both kids and adults. It’s been a wonderful place for us to train together, build confidence, and have fun as a family. We’re grateful to be part of the Action Karate community and highly recommend it.

I couldn't have been more happier with choosing Action Karate Quakertown for my son. Sensei Brody is a phenomenal teacher and role model. He is wonderful with the little kids and knows how to talk and interact with them in a way that they listen. The energy is just so positive, and I enjoy seeing how much fun all the kids have. My son truly enjoys coming to each class, I highly recommend this location to anyone interested in putting their child in a class. They have adult sessions which I am interested in joining in the near future if my schedule allows 😀

Two years ago, my daughter was invited by a friend for their buddy week promotion. So I brought my shy, timid daughter there to check it out. That night we got home, and she told us that it makes her feel so confident. We signed her up immediately. In 2 years the changes in her personality and character can not be put into words. She is no longer shy, she has become a leader on the mat, helping others, she is now extremely focused. Every single instructor there has been nothing but welcoming, encouraging and helpful. So much so, that I myself also joined. It has helped me build my own confidence, public speaking and helped me lose close to 60lbs. I owe everything to Action Karate Quakertown. My family looks forward to the Black Belts in our future. Thank you to Ms Jess, Ms Sara, and Sensei Brodie, as well as every other instructor, helper, member and parent we have met along the way. We are proud to be part of the Action Karate Family!!

Our Story

Nine Years of Showing Up for Upper Bucks Families

Action Karate Quakertown opened its doors in 2017 with a simple belief: that the right environment, the right instructors, and the right values could genuinely change a child’s trajectory. Nine years later, that belief has been tested and proven, in belt ceremonies, in report cards, in phone calls from parents who didn’t expect martial arts to matter this much.

Too many kids coast through activities that don’t stretch them. Our belt system creates meaningful goals, and earning each one requires real work — the kind kids are proud of.
Discipline, resilience, how to lose with grace and win with humility. These are skills for life, and they start with a uniform and a bow.
If your child’s listening, focused, and saying please without being asked, that’s our work showing up in your home. We hear stories like that regularly, and we never get tired of them.
Twice named Best Martial Arts in our region, our students have run community service projects bi-annually for years. Giving back is part of the culture, not a marketing moment.

This path helped me tremendously through my life. I want to be the instructor to help my students pave the path to their best life.
