Programs

Classes for Every Age, Every Goal, Every Child

Whether your child is 3 or 13, or you’re an adult ready to start, we have a program built for exactly where you are right now.

Adult Martial Arts Classes

It’s never too late to start. Our adult classes build real fitness, sharpen focus, and teach practical self-defense. All in a welcoming environment where you progress at your own pace. No experience necessary.

Kids Martial Arts Classes

More than kicking and punching, our kids’ programs are where confidence gets built, respect gets practiced, and kids discover what they’re actually made of. Every belt earned is a lesson in what happens when you don’t quit.

Ninja Sharks Ages 3 to 6 Classes

The littlest students in our biggest program. Ninja Sharks is designed for kids who are still learning how to listen, take turns, and follow along. And it works, because our instructors make it feel like the best game they’ve ever played.

Special Needs Martial Arts Classes

Every child deserves to be here. We have a long history of working with students who’ve been turned away elsewhere. And we’re proud of it. Our instructors are patient, experienced, and genuinely committed to finding what works for each individual student.

Birthday Parties

Give your child a birthday they’ll actually remember. Action Karate Jamison birthday parties bring the energy, the fun, and the moves, so you can show up and enjoy it right alongside them.

Why Action Karate

What Makes Our Karate and Martial Arts Classes Special

Choosing a martial arts school is about more than the curriculum. It’s about who your child is going to become. Here’s why Jamison families choose us.

Real confidence, not just kicks

Our curriculum is built around character development first. Students don't just learn how to move, they learn how to carry themselves. The focus, the eye contact, the 'yes sir' at the dinner table: that's what 13 years of this program produces.

Instructors who actually know your kid

With a maximum of 24 students per class, no one falls through the cracks. Our instructors remember names, notice moods, and adjust because they're teachers, not just coaches.

A safe space for every kind of learner

We've worked with kids who've been turned away at other schools, kids with special needs, and kids who've never been good at anything physical. We meet every student where they are, and we move forward from there together.

The Jamison Action Karate does a wonderful job engaging little ones to be excited and engaged on a daily basis. It’s been a pleasure watching the wonderful teachers engage with my daughter and encourage her to grow in her social and karate skills with each class. I would highly recommend this school for all parents looking for a new activity for their little ones.

Action Karate is a great place to learn karate as well as other life lessons. It is a place where aspiring martial artists come together and work hard to improve. My daughter has been attending Action Karate for about five years now. I can easily see the difference in her from when she started karate to now. She has become much more positive and willing to try new things. She has become significantly stronger than when she first started. The instructors here at Action are helpful and encouraging. She is now on the verge of earning her black belt, and I am incredibly proud of her and how much she has grown.

My son has been attending Action Karate Jamison for 3 years. During this time he's grown so much in a positive way. His self-confidence and perseverance have certainly improved, especially when trying to earn each new belt and compete in tournaments. The instructors are always so supportive and create such a motivational, energetic and fun environment. Not only his he learning great self-defence techniques, kicks and punches but he also is gaining life-long skills such as leadership, patience and respect.

Our daughter Leah has been coming to Action Karate Jamison since before Kindergarten. Initially, we just signed up for the free month to spend more time with our friends. Even after they stopped going, she continued her karate journey and has become strong, fierce, and confident. We are so proud of who she’s become over these last few years. She has learned to be more disciplined, she stands up for herself, her friends and family, and isn’t afraid to step up to any challenge that comes her way. It’s more than a workout: it’s a way of life.

We absolutely love Action. The instructors are patient and kind while driving your kids or yourself to improve without making anyone feel bad or less than. They are encouraging and personable and understanding. We were newer to the area and this program has helped my son be more confident and comfortable in his new surroundings. The leadership program has also helped him to have a sense of responsibility and given him an opportunity to help others and be a role model for younger participants. I have seen so much growth in him since moving here and I know part of that is because of his involvement with Action. Thank you all so much for all you do!

My son started at Action Karate at the age of 11. He is now 14 and I’ve seen him grow stronger since he began his journey towards Jr. Black Belt. He is physically stronger as well as mentally through their teachings learning discipline, perseverance, confidence, and so much more! In addition, becoming apart of the Jr. Leadership program has also been a rewarding experience working with the younger kids in the Ninja Shark group. He’s learned some valuable teaching skills as well as mastering Karate moves in his classes. We are very excited to see him achieve his Jr. Black Belt in December! All the hard work is sooooo worth it. As his parents we are so proud of him!!! A final shout out to all the Amazing Instructors— they are so encouraging, enthusiastic and skilled Martial Art instructors!

Action Karate in Jamison is a breath of fresh air, everyone is kind, welcoming and most of all accepting of all student’s individual needs. My kids both came to a class with friends and were hooked. We signed my son up while my daughter finished dance and then signed her up as well. Master Alex always has a kind word for parents and students alike and the rest of the staff is amazing as well. They give life lessons between sets and my kids really look up to everyone there. They even personally drop off a yard sign on your child’s birthday. They are just the best! We are so blessed to have found Action Karate and I can’t wait to see my kid’s confidence grow as they learn important and valuable life lessons!

Belt progression at Action Karate isn’t just about technique. It’s about the student your child is becoming. Every rank test is a lesson in what happens when effort meets persistence.
Families who start here tend to stay for years. It’s not uncommon to have a Ninja Shark graduate into Karate Kids, then Juniors, then earn a black belt in the same school they first walked into as a 3-year-old.
One of our most memorable students was turned away by other martial arts schools because of his special needs. He trained with us. He tested with us. He earned his black belt. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.
Through school partnerships and township programs, we’ve brought martial arts to kids who might never have found us on their own. That connection to the wider community isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we actively build every year.

I get to be a kid again with the Ninja Sharks age group, playing games with them while teaching karate.
